Here's the my latest Pafko addition...

1955 Bowman #12 Andy Pafko

The back of the card has a touching story about Andy hitting a grand slam with his mother in the stands watching. It turned out to be the last game that she was able to attend before she passed away.

During my brief career in Little League and Babe Ruth, I was always most proud of getting a hit or making a nice defensive play while my parents or grandparents were in the stands. I remember when I got my first extra base hit my parents couldn't make that game and I so wished they could have been there. I can't imagine what it is like to hit a grand slam in a major league game with your parents in the stands but I can understand why it is one of the most memorable moments of Andy's life.
