UPDATE: Things are worse than I thought...the Palin card went for $40 on eBay...

So we've seen the mysteries hidden in the grab bags, now on to the cards...the best single card I picked up at the show was this 1960 Topps Red Schoendienst. I've written previously about how Mr. Schoendienst has recently entered my collecting field of vision and is quickly becoming one of my favorites...I got this card of $1 believe it or not...

I'm not sure what it says about the future of the hobby when I can get a Hall of Famer for $1 and this card is going for $10+ on eBay:

Nice pickup on the Red. I actually like the Sarah Palin Topps card. Do you know if they have a certified autograph version of it?

I would say that they would probably have a cut signature but considering she's pretty busy right now so I don't think she's signing things for Topps...8-)
