Everybody's Got A Record: Jarrod Saltalamacchia Edition

**In this series we strive to prove the universal truth that every baseball player holds some kind of record.**

Jarrod S-A-L-T-A-L-A-M-A-C-C-H-I-A has the longest last name of anyone to ever play major league baseball. Damned if I can find who it was that had the record before Jarrod and had a 13-letter last name. But that's why people read my blog right?...to answer my questions?

Justin Duchscherer has eleven letters. Not thirteen, but close.

Former pitcher William VanLandingham?
I wanted to get that record myself (I also have 13 letters in my last name) but failed in that endeavor.

At least I know my last name would have fit on the back now.

The next record breaker may already play for the Red Sox. Not only does he have a long enough last name to break the record his name would be one of the best baseball names of all time. Seth Schwindenhammer. (Swing-The-Hammer)

Wow Adam, that is just too good and he'll certainly be a future post in the Heartbreakingly Great Names series too!
